Donations

We would like to emphasise the security measures taken by the co-op in ensuring security and privacy are maintained. There has been some concern with regard to old hard drives that may contain sensitive or confidential data. We can assure that all hard disks will be formatted before being handed out. We can add an extra level of security upon request (ie. format > fill hard disk with random data > format again).

We encourage all computer & part donations that are usable as detailed in the usable parts below:

• Pentium III + or Athlon XP
• assorted sticks of RD RAM, DDR RAM or newer
• >=20Gb HDD
• Monitors
• Speakers and microphones
• PS/2 and USB Keyboards
• PS/2 and USB mice
• Working Optical drives (CD/DVD), IDE and SATA
• Cables
• Current Printers
• AGP video cards
• PCI sound cards
• motherboards for recent sockets
  
• Laptops also welcome!
